Baku Heydar Aliyev Airport (GYD) is an international airport located in Baku, Azerbaijan. It’s located about 12.5 miles (20 km) northeast of Baku, connected to the city by a modern highway. On March 10, 2004, the airport was renamed in honor of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the third President of Azerbaijan. It is equipped with two runways and two passenger terminals (International Terminal 1 and Domestic Terminal 2) and two cargo terminals. It’s the hub for Azerbaijan Airlines, AZALJet, Buta Airways, Silk Way Airlines.
