About Bucharest Henri Coandă Airport (OTP)
Bucharest Henri Coandă Airport (OTP) is an international airport located in Otopeni, Romania. It’s located about 10.3 miles (16.5 km) north of Bucharest’s city centre. The airport is named after Romanian flight pioneer Henri Coandă, builder of Coandă-1910 aircraft and discoverer of the Coandă effect of fluidics. It is equipped with two runways, one helipad and one main passenger terminal. It first opened in 1965. It’s the hub for TAROM, and a focus city for Air Bucharest, Blue Air, Ryanair, Wizz Air.
