About Iquitos Airport (IQT)

The Coronel FAP Francisco Secada Vignetta International Airport is serving Iquitos, capital of Loreto Region and Peru’s 5th biggest city. This airport is also one of the main airports in Peru. It is located 7 km (4 miles) to the southeast of the center of Iquitos. Moreover, it has a single runway which is 2,500 m in length. The airport is operated by Aeropuertos del Peru and currently serves over 1 million passengers each year. Its name was changed in 1973 in commemoration of a pilot of the Peruvian Air Force.
