Ürümqi Diwopu Airport (URC) is an international airport located in Ürümqi, Xinjiang, China. It’s located in Diwopu township of Xinshi district, about 10 miles (16 km) northwest of downtown Ürümqi. It covers an area of 1,195 acres & is equipped with a single runway and three passenger terminals. It was built in the 1930s & first opened to foreign passengers in 1973. It’s the hub for China Southern Airlines & Urumqi Air and a focus city for Hainan Airlines.
