Salvador Deputado Luís Eduardo Magalhães Airport (SSA) is an international airport located in São Cristóvão, Salvador da Bahia, Brazil. It’s located about 17 miles (28 km) north from downtown Salvador da Bahia. Since 16 June 1998 the airport is named after Luís Eduardo Maron Magalhães, an influential politician of the state of Bahia. It covers an area of 1482 acres & is equipped with two runways and one main passenger terminal. It first opened in 1925. It’s a focus city for Azul Brazilian Airlines.
