The airport is named in honor of Named for U.S. Senator Daniel K. Inouye. It is equipped with six runways and three main terminals. It first opened in March 1927. It’s the hub for Hawaiian Airlines, Aloha Air Cargom Asia Pacific Airlines, Island Air, Mokulele Airlines & Transair.
